Choroidal neovascular membrane
A network of blood vessels which originates from the choroid layer which comes to lie just under the retina. This results in leakage of fluid or bleeding into the retina. It is usually a complication of age-related macular degeneration and is popularly referred to as ?wet macular degeneration?.
