Stroma

The central layer of the cornea between the epithelium and endothelium. It makes up the majority of the thickness of the cornea.

Strabismus

A condition in which the eyes are not properly aligned with each other resulting in an inability to focus both eyes on a given point. Greek strabismos = squinting Squint, a misalignment of the two eyes. Eyesight disorder related to a defect in the parallelism of the visual axes. Early detection in children is vital in order to avoid any risk of amblyopia. There are three forms of strabismus.

Septo-optic dysplasia

A clinically heterogeneous disorder loosely defined by any combination of optic nerve hypoplasia, pituitary gland hypoplasia, and midline abnormalities of the brain, including absence of the corpus callosum and septum pellucidum.
